Learning Fun

Learning Fun was founded to help students reach their maximum potential by employing fun and relevant techniques to the learning approach. We teach classes and conduct one-on-one tutoring.

Our Most Popular Teachings

These classes are taught to groups of twenty or more. You may contract with Learning Fun to schedule an appointment for your school, church or organization. Email us for a rate sheet or view our schedule to see when we will be presenting a class in your area or a tele-class. We work with all learners to help them reach their maximum potential.

Inspiring the Writer in Your Child

In this fun and lively class parents and teachers/ parents will learn how to get even the most reluctant writers to express themselves. Participants will learn how to motivate students to write by using some fun and simple techniques. Publishing students writing will also be discussed.

Essential Study Skills Every Student Needs

Every student no matter their age needs good study habits to succeed scholastically and vocationally. The class is designed for all students but is taught in modules for maximum learner retention and application. Module one is for students in grades 4-8. Module Two is for students in grades 9-12. Module Three is for adult learners. Students will learn how to how to organize their school work, the proper way to take notes, ace teacher/ standardized exams, recall information easily, manage their time and improve study effectiveness. This class adequately prepares students for the rigors of college and higher level learning.

Fun and Effective Ways to Teach Language Arts

This seminar explores some of the fun and effective ways to teach spelling, grammar, vocabulary, phonics, reading and word attack skills using games and accelerated learning techniques to improve retention, memory and learning. Parents/ teachers will walk away from this workshop with concrete activities and methods to help their children (K-12) better retain information, do better on exams and become proactive learners.

Fun and Effective Ways to Teach Math

This seminar explores some of the fun and effective ways to teach basic arithmetic (including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), pre-algebra, algebra and geometry). Emphasis will be placed on understanding mathematical concepts and applying them to real life. Parents/ teachers will walk away from this workshop with concrete methods and activities to help their children achieve and understand mathematical concepts.

Thinking Skills

Students will learn how to develop their reasoning, processing and critical thinking skills and apply these skills to all curriculum areas. Most appropriate for college bound students.

Writing across the Curriculum

Appropriate particularly for home educating parents and teachers. This class teaches how to intersperse writing through the curriculum for middle school and high school students.
